I am Scott Johnston owner of The Wood Extension, a full custom furniture studio. As a custom furniture maker I design and build original and unique custom furniture,
serving the greater New Jersey area.
I hand craft, my New Jersey clientele custom furniture projects, using old and new skilled techniques fabricating custom furniture styles from old world to contemporary in mediums of wood, metal, stone, glass and ornamentation. Balancing a line, shape and form from conceptual designs to drawings, materials are then hand selected for color and texture; and hand finishing is done to bring forth their natural characteristics and luster for a unique visual perspective.
My New Jersey clients are very much part of the design process, together we explore what furniture details are important to them, to insure their custom furniture project is a successful one.
